Office Manager

Job Summary:

Our company is seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as our Office Manager. The primary job duties of this position are human resource and production management. This position will also have some administrative duties.

Essential Functions:

In-Season Duties (February-April)

  • Onboarding of Seasonal Employees
  • Management of Office/Warehouse Staff
  • Maintain Time Keeping Apps
  • Assistance with Production/Payroll Records
  • Maintenance of Labor Contractor Records
  • Implementation of New On Boarding/Payroll Procedures

Off-Season Duties (May-January)

  • Update and Maintain Job Descriptions
  • Update and Maintain Hazzard Analysis
  • Update and Maintain Safety Manual
  • Observation, Idea Generation and Problem Solving of HR/Payroll Issues
  • Participation in HR/Employment Trainings

Other Duties:

  • Participation in Safety Program
  • Administrative Planning/Assistance for California Season
  • Some Peak Season Sales Support (Be willing to answer phone and interact with customers)

Firman Pollen is a seasonal agricultural business and each job duty is typically carried out for only a specific time period. In-Season weekly hours typically exceed 40 hours for up to 6 weeks. Off-Season hours average 35 hours or less per week. There may be up to 2 weeks per year of travel required for this position.

Work Environment:

This position will be performed mostly inside.  In the production facility this position will be exposed to allergens (pollen).  On occasion this position will visit harvest sites to inspect and ensure that working conditions are acceptable.  This will entail be exposed to orchard environment and driving company vehicles.

  • Be eligible to legally work in U.S.
  • Maintain a valid Driver’s License
